The Trussell Trust runs the largest network of foodbanks in the UK, giving emergency food and support to people in crisis. Thirteen million people live below the poverty line and in the last year we gave 1,332,952 three-day emergency food supplies to people in crisis.
We have a small warehouse at Cavalry Park in Peebles where volunteers sort and stack the donated food. This is also where we make up nutritionally balanced food parcels, designed to last the recipient for three days. Our warehouse is only open 2 mornings a week and food can be collected from here by arrangement, or a volunteer can deliver it to your home. Donations of food can also be made to the warehouse at the opening times stated below.
